President Delegation of Thailand Northern Royal University of Science and Technology visited CQUT for Exchange

On the afternoon of May 26th, Dr.Numyoot Songthanapitak, President of Thailand Northern Royal University of Science and Technology visited our school along with 7 presidents from Chiengmai, Tak, Lampang.

President Shi Xiaohui met with our guests in the meeting room of Mingde building at 3 p.m. On behalf of our school, President Shi extended a warm welcome to our visitors, and made an introduction about the scale of education, superior disciplines, unique majors, scientific researches as well as international cooperation. Shi highly evaluated the exchange of scholarships with Thailand Northern Royal University of Science and Technology and cultural summer camp activities in recent years. Dr. Numyoot Songthanapitak introduced Thailand Northern Royal University of Science and Technology briefly.

We are sister schools sharing a deep friendship. Last year, on the advantage of scholarships exchange program provided by Thailand Northern Royal University of Science and Technology, 5 students went abroad for academic exchange for half a year. To enhance the cooperation between both parties, presidential scholarships are increased by 5 in the number of recipients, which help broaden horizons in academic fields, enrich lives and provide access to multi-cultural communications. In terms of teacher training and 3+1+2 undergraduate and postgraduate education programs, two parties reached a wide consensus. Both parties are to complement special disciplines and sharie high quality education resources in the future.

Directors of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, dean’s office, College of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Management and so on attended this meeting. After that, in the company of leaders of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the delegation of Thailand Northern Royal University of Science and Technology visited the central water center and school history room.
